For a year, I always went everywhere with a PC. The reason was because it became more frequent that I used it when I was out. For instance, I would use it when I had business meetings, when I had many things to do, when I needed to confirm something right away to somebody or when I needed to research something to tell somebody on the spot. All for communication work.
It was enough to write in a notebook. However, mistakes increased when I had to do many things simultaneously. I learned that it was more effective to input into a PC as text. I always use e-mail. It’s a quick process to type the contents rather than to read the notes. Also, when I need to look up something during a meeting, I can do so immediately through the Internet. It’s wonderful to be able to work during the intervals between meetings. This is very important because the accumulated bits of time I saved up will eventually be quite a substantial number of hours.

This is the most important part. When using a standard 3-cell battery, it would last for 5 hours; however, with the UMPC Q1b, I can use it for 10 hours if I use the 6-cell battery. Good!
I usually watch a lot of movies with DVDs. If I had a UMPC Q1b, I can watch two movies during a flight from Berlin to my country.
Among the various options for accessories, I like the navigation package. My car doesn’t have one, but if I had the UMPC:Q1b, I wouldn’t need to buy a separate one. When I borrowed a car once, it worked well.
You can also put the UMPC on something like a picture frame stand. I just came across a good idea. I love to cook and I often get recipes from the Internet. So I used to always print a copy with my PC and bring it to the kitchen. Now I don’t need to do this. Nice!
People usually just glance at pictures they take. I like to keep pictures I took from trips for a while before editing it. It helps get rid of my irritation from work. If I had the UMPC Q1b beside my desktop, I would be happy.
